Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, a spectacular venue in Pakistan, opened in 1992, a short distance from Islamabad. Presently, it accommodates 15,000 spectators. Owned by the Pakistan Cricket Board and operated by the Northern Cricket Association, it played a key role in the World Cup 1996.
Having hosted its first Test match on December 9, 1993, and first ODI on January 19, 1992, the stadium is a regular host for T20 matches. As one of the four venues for the Pakistan Super League, it serves as the home ground for Islamabad United. The stadium will kick off from the 9th match in the upcoming PSL season.
