Lahore, 10 November 2023:The PCB has upgraded the categories of nine players through the local player category renewal process for the upcoming edition of HBL Pakistan Super League. Additionally, the PCB has opened a registration window for foreign players. The flagship event is tentatively scheduled to take place between February 8th and March 24th, 2024. Lahore Gears Up for HBL PSL 9

In Lahore, the stage is set for the HBL PSL 9, with the Pick Order for the Player Draft now locked in. Quetta Gladiators claim the coveted first pick, followed by Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, and reigning champions Lahore Qalandars.

Fair Play in Player Picks

To ensure fairness, the selection order is determined by the previous season’s standings. Each category sees a different team starting the draft. Quetta Gladiators initiate the Platinum picks, Karachi Kings take the lead in Diamond, and the order continues, maintaining an equitable approach.

Roadmap to the Draft

Teams now have the opportunity to request player category changes before finalizing retentions. Following this, the HBL PSL 9 Draft, anticipated for mid-December, will commence right after the National T20’s conclusion.
