SuperSport has announced that it will be broadcasting the entire Pakistan Super League(PSL) 2024 across Sub-Saharan Africa. In New Zealand, SKY Sport NZ has secured the rights to show all 34 games of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL 8), while Flow Sports has bagged the television rights for the Caribbean regions.
SuperSport is a part of MultiChoice, a South African media company, that operates several satellite television services in Sub-Saharan Africa, including the major service DStv, the minor service GOtv, and the Showmax streaming service. MultiChoice, which broadcasts the full range of M-Net channels on the DStv service, was formed from M-Net’s subscriber-management branch.
The company’s subsidiary, previously known as DStv Now, has been renamed DStv App and allows for television streaming on laptops, smartphones, and notebooks. In the past, MultiChoice had operations in various regions, including Scandinavia, Benelux, Italy, Eastern Europe, Greece & Cyprus, Egypt, the Middle East, and Thailand. As of 2020, MultiChoice had a total subscriber base of 20.1 million viewers throughout Africa. Naspers, the parent company of MultiChoice, has claimed that MultiChoice is one of the fastest-growing pay-TV operators globally.
